Column-mounted oil dispensing station

Preventing Unrecorded Consumption with Computer-Controlled Oil Dispensing

A central oil distribution line conveys oil to the station, but it does not by itself record who dispensed how much oil into which vehicle. A computer-controlled oil management system closes this gap.

Where Does Unrecorded Consumption Come From?

Metered dispensing guns measure the quantity dispensed, but this information is often written on the work order by hand. Rounded quantities, small fills that are not recorded and uncontrolled use create a gap over time between the oil drawn from the tank and the oil invoiced.

How Does the System Work?

  1. The service advisor opens the work order and defines the oil quantity required for the vehicle.
  2. The technician identifies themselves at the station and selects the work order.
  3. The system opens the relevant line; dispensing stops when the defined quantity is reached.
  4. The time, quantity, station and staff member for the dispensing operation are recorded.

Benefits for the Workshop

  • Authorisation: only authorised staff can dispense oil.
  • Matching: oil dispensed and oil invoiced are based on the same record.
  • Reporting: consumption is reported by staff member, station and oil type.
  • Stock: together with tank level measurement, stock and consumption can be compared.

Calibration for Accurate Measurement

Reliable records depend on meters measuring accurately. Periodic calibration of metered dispensing guns preserves the value of the data the system provides.

On suitable lines, control units, meters and software can be added while retaining the existing central oil distribution installation. We assess feasibility together during the site survey.

Let’s Plan Your Project Together

Tell us the number of lifts in your workshop, the vehicle types you service and the oil types you use. Our specialist team will carry out a site survey to determine the most suitable system for your needs and prepare an itemised quote.
